Child Protection Centre of Zagreb

The Child protection Centre provides diagnostics and treatment for traumatized children, including abused and neglected children. Working model of the Centre is based on multidisciplinary approach. Our team consists of psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, social paedagogs, pediatrician and jurist. Main goal of the Centre is to provide professional support to abused and traumatized children and their parents. Center also conducts forensic services, where sexually abused children can be interviewed in a child friendly atmosphere by trained professionals. That kind of interview can be recorded and then used as an evidence in the court, so child does not need to be re-traumatized by the court procedures. Besides working directly with children and parents, Child Protection Centre is also focused on conducting relevant research in the field of child development, child abuse and neglect, parenting, etc.; publishing educational and prevention materials for children, parents and professionals; educating students and other professionals, as well as raising public awareness on issues of child abuse and neglect.
