« National Associations of Portuguese Municipalities » is contributing to the ONE in FIVE Campaign - a pan-European campaign coordinated by the Council of Europe
The Associação Nacional de Municípios Portuguese (ANMP, engl. National Associations of Portuguese Municipalities) was established in 1985 and represents all 308 municipalities and communes that are part of continental Portugal and the autonomous regions of Azores and Madeira .
The overall goal of ANMP is the promotion, defense, and representation of the local governments and the representation and defense of municipalities in front of the organs of sovereignty.
The Statutory Bodies are: a) The National Congress; b) The General Council; c) The Governing Council; d) The Fiscal Council; e) The Advisory Council.
