Municipality of Agueda

The municipality of Agueda is part of the district Aveiro and has an area of ??approximately 335 km² and 47,729 (INE 2011) inhabitants. Agueda is located in the region Centro (NUTS II) and in the subregion Baixo Vouga (NUT III). The municipality is bordered to the north by the municipality of Sever do Vouga, to the northeast by the municipalities of Oliveira de Frades and Vouzela, to the east by the municipality of Viseu, to the south by the municipalities Mortágua and Anadia, to the southwest by the municipalities Oliveira do Bairro and Aveiro, to the west by youth hostels and in the northwest by the municipality Velha.
