MUNICIPALITY OF KEFALLONIA

Alexandros Parisis was born in Lavonikes of Erisos. He is the largest of the five children of the merchant Panagis Parisis from Lixouri , the genus Molfetta from Erisos.
He studied at the elementary school of Tuliata and then he graduated from the middle school in Mesovounia. At the age of 15, he moved with his family from Kefalonia to Piraeus.
He became a pilot in his only 32 years. In 1973 he immigrated to Germany, where he founded his first company for the import of cars and machinery in Greece.
In 1985, he founded the transport company "Pari Trans", which specializes in the transport of liquids and food, not only in Greece but also in Europe. In 1990, he founded a new company under the name "Olympic IME" Ltd., which specializes in fuels. At the same time, he founded the "Parisis International Transport" with a fleet of 27 trucks that specialize in the liquid fuel transportation sector.
In the national elections of September 16, 2007, he was elected deputy of Kefalonia and Ithaca.
At the municipal elections of 2010, he was elected Mayor of Kefalonia. In the 2014 local elections, he again claimed the steering wheel of the Municipality of Kefalonia and re-elected.
Also he is the president of the Regional Union of Municipalities of the Ionian Islands.
